Our Story

Northlake was born from a love for Oakland and the belief that every Oaklander deserves a safe, clean, and vibrant downtown.

While it may be Oakland’s newest neighborhood, Northlake is about honoring what already makes this city great — its people, its culture, and its sense of possibility.

Northlake is a place for creativity, community, and growth.

Formerly Auto Row, Northlake is now home to an intersection of thousands of residents, top-tier companies, and dozens of Oakland-grown restaurants, bars, entrepreneurs, and retailers.

Now a dynamic public space, Lot 2270 hosts free community gatherings, weekly events, and large-scale activations.
